She is called little Tiny (or Thumbelina)
because she is as tall as a thumb.
She is so small that her blanket
is a petal of rose
and her bed
a wallnut shell.

The she-toad kidnaps Tiny
to have her marry
her son, " Crapo ", the most beautiful,
the most intelligent, and
the most endowed (for fly hunting)
of all toads!

Fortunately for Tiny, the fishes
of the river are going to help her by cutting
the stalk of the water lily.

A butterfly helps her run away...

The May-beetle finds her very charming, even
if she does not look like a beetle at all ...
