A fairy predicts a new born that, when he will be 14 years old, he will get married to the Princess of the Kingdom. The King, hidden away in the shadows, decides to drown the new-born and throws him in the river.
But the basket is swept by the stream all the way to the mill. There, a nice miller and his wife take the new-born in and adopt him.
Fourteen years later, the King discovers that the one he thought he had got rid of, is still alive. Furious, the King sends a letter to his castle giving the order to kill the young man. But the fairy replaces the letter with another one. That letter states that the young man should get married to the Princess. The prediction thus comes through.
