Puss in Boots

after the tale by Charles Perrault - 1994

By his trickery a cat makes his master, a poor miller, marry the king's daughter at the expense of an ogre who spreads terror around his castle. A magical show which tells the adventures of the cunning cat in an original style.

Music based on François Couperin (17th century).

The cat, an animal well known by the children, likes to be cuddled and it purrs. A picture of tenderness as well as ferocity when the cat plays with a mouse and finishes by eating it .

An ancesteral tale, Puss in Boots has been subject to many rewritings. One of the most famous versions is the one by Charles Perrault, but also the Grimm brothers and Henri Pourrat have served as inspiration for the play.

Do you think
the King likes
eating rabbits ?

It's my master, the Marquis of Carabas, who asked me to bring you this wild rabbit...
What a big rabbit !
Lots of thanks to your master,
it's very nice of him.
